Donations
As a parish community we encourage unity with one another in our financial giving, coming together not in the amount that we give but in the sacrifice that we make. Many churches have an understanding of ‘tithing’, whereby a percentage of your monthly income is automatically set aside for the parish church.
In England, churches do not receive any funding from the government or from the Vatican, so if you would like to give towards the mission of the church you have to do so intentionally.
The best way to donate is via a standing order every month directly into our bank account. This avoids charges to credit card processors via our card machines in the church, and lessens the burden on those counting cash each week.

Gift Aid
Did you know that if you pay UK Income Tax you can increase the value of any donations you make to St Thomas Aquinas Church by 25% at no extra cost to you?
By completing a Gift Aid registration form and making donations in your name, we are able to claim 25% of the value of your donation from HMRC directly out of the amount you paid in tax within a financial year.
This means that if you gave £100, and Gift Aid your donation, the parish would receive £125.
