The Parish Hall at St. Thomas Aquinas Ham is a light-filled, versatile community space housed within a charming 19th-century former school building. Located on the western corner of Ham Common, this unique venue blends historic character with modern utility, making it an ideal choice for a variety of local events.

The Parish Hall & Facilities

The facilities are designed to support everything from intimate gatherings to lively community celebrations:

  • The Main Hall: A bright and spacious area that serves as a central hub for the community. Its origins as a Victorian schoolroom give it a distinct architectural charm, featuring gabled facades and large windows that flood the room with natural light.
  • Capacity & Events: The hall is a popular choice for birthday partiesbaby showers, and family gatherings, as well as regular activities like ballet classesart groups, and exercise sessions.
  • Catering & Refreshments: The hall has historically hosted a Community Cafe, providing a welcoming environment for tea, coffee, and snacks. A kitchen with a fridge, freezer, dishwasher, oven and cutlery is also available to support hired events. Six long tables (seat 8 people) and six small tables (seat 4) are available for use.
  • Outdoor Space: The church features a courtyard area, which has previously been used for community festivities and outdoor gatherings.
  • Accessibility & Parking: The site offers free parking for visitors and is fully accessible, ensuring a welcoming experience for all guests.

The hall is available for both one-off “ad-hoc” bookings and long-term regular hires.
